Today I hung out with the folks in #writechat and #poetparty, talking about writing stuff and my recent poetry publication in Written River. Both were a good way to get my mind out of my frantic last couple of days before the road trip.
I got out to the store to run a couple of errands today that needed to be done. Work was done on the Brigid and Sarasvati workshop, and I remembered to scan and print copies of a page that had been forgotten yesterday, and emailed it off to the guy who was making copies of the other things. Further work on that can take place tomorrow. I dug out some copies of articles and such that might be relevant for one or more of the things I'll be doing at Eight Winds.
Speaking of which, does anyone have a copy of either of these articles:
Liminality in Early Irish Literature: The Madness of Suibhne Geilt by Bridgitte K. Slavin, Journal of the Australian Early Medieval Association 2007 (didn't have page numbers)
The Irish Berdman: Kingship and Liminality in Buile Suibhne from Text and Transmission in Medieval Europe, Celtic Studies Publications 2007, pp 17-45
I think I'm reading my notes right on those. Anyway, if you have any idea where I might find copies, please let me know.
blindwebster's address was added to the god of navigation. I edited the manuscript for Fireflies at Absolute Zero again and sent it off to Hiraeth Press.
I had lunch today over at Emory's. It was warm and sunny for a while, and I grabbed a cup of clam chowder and a salad out on their back deck, sitting in the sunlight. It was really pleasant, and a good break from the work I was doing. Later, at home, I made some lentil soup and had that for dinner. I may nibble something further before I go to bed tonight.
Tonight is also my flamekeeping shift, and the altar is lit up. I got
tdancinghands and the sib in contact with one another about the Prague part of my trip. He wants to spend a couple of days there, not having been before, and she's up for that and made a few suggestions about places for him to stay. I sent her email off to him so that they both have each others' email addresses and can work out the details between them. I'm not really in a position to be the go-between right now.
Answered a late email from
ogam and hope that the answer was helpful.
ingvisson and
gra_is_stor are here again tonight, after having spent all day working on her moving.
Tomorrow: laundry, finish packing, finish dealing with the notes for the Brigid and Sarasvati workshop. Everything I can do for the pilgrimage right now is done, as far as I know. If there's anything else,
vyviane and Jhenah will have to wait until I get home again next Monday before I'll have time and bandwidth to deal with it.
